Salamandrimas are a breed of salamander-like creatures that vary in appearance according to habitat, folklore, hierarchy and diet.


The word "Salamandri-mas" was developed by grouping a couple of relevant words to describe this breed’s gender and animal family.
"Salamandri-“ derives from "Salamandridae”, taxonomic family name for salamanders.

“-Mas" derives from "Mas-culine or Male".


While the term Salamandrimas describes male Japanese giant salamanders, “ Salamandrifem” describes female Japanese giant salamanders.
