The word "Helicoprioni-mas" was developed by grouping a couple of relevant words to describe this breed’s gender and animal family.
"Helicoprioni-“ derives from "Helicoprionidae”, taxonomic family name for helicoprions.

“-Mas" derives from "Mas-culine or Male".


While the term Helicoprionimas describes male helicoprion, “ Helicoprionifem” describes female helicoprion.
