Dasyurimas are a breed of Dasyurid-like creatures that vary in appearance according to habitat, folklore, hierarchy and diet.


The word "Dasyuri-mas" was developed by grouping a couple of relevant words to describe this breed’s gender and animal family.
"Dasyuri-“ derives from "Dasyuridae”, taxonomic family name for most Tasmanian devils, kowaris, kultarrs, mulagaras, dibblers, phasgogales, dunnarts, antechinuses, planigales, quolls, etc.

“ -Mas" derives from "Mas-culine or Male".


While the term "Dasyurimas" describes: male Crest-Tailed Mulgaras, "Dasyurifem" describes: female Crest-Tailed Mulgaras.
