Varanimas are a breed of varanus-like creatures that vary in appearance according to habitat, folklore, hierarchy and diet.


The word "Varani-mas" was developed by grouping a couple of relevant words to describe this breed’s gender and animal family.
"Varani-“ derives from "Varanidae”, taxonomic family name for varanus.

“-Mas" derives from "Mas-culine or Male".


While the term Varanimas describes male varanus, “ Varanifem” describes female varanus.
